The LIFE Maronesa Project is the result of the work of a multidisciplinary team, which includes different technical and scientific partners, as well as groups of Baldios from the municipalities of Vila Real, Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Mondim de Basto and Ribeira de Pena. Below you can find out a little about the project’s coordinating entity.
Associação Aguiar Floresta – Forestry and Environmental Association of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, was founded on February 7, 2003 and the area of intervention focuses primarily on the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar and is associated with FORESTIS – Forestry Association of Portugal.
Part of the association’s mission is to promote the sustainable management of forest spaces, valuing them and also contributing to the development of the municipality and region.
Of the numerous objectives of the association, we highlight the improvement of forest production, increasing the profitability of the properties of the associates, representing its associates before the Central, Regional and Local Administration, national and international forestry institutions, as well as any other entity of public or private law, among others.
